IFB – TURNER PARK DAM IMPROVEMENTS
LONGMEADOW, MASSACHUSETTS
Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Longmeadow, “Turner Park Dam Improvements” will be received by the Town of Longmeadow Purchasing Department until the bid deadline of 2:00 p.m. local time on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Deliver sealed bids to Town of Longmeadow, Purchasing Department, Attn: Chad Thompson, 735 Longmeadow Street, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA 01106 (P: 413-565-4185, cthompson@longmeadow.org). Late bids will be rejected. Label sealed envelopes: ‘IFB – Turner Park Dam Improvements’ with complete contact information of the bidder. Bids received will be publicly opened remotely through zoom.com only. The zoom.com bid opening will begin at 2:30p.m. on the date of the bid deadline. To access the recorded video conference of the public bid opening, it can be obtained in the IFB document. The work consists of clearing and grubbing, installation of riprap slope protection, construction of a dense graded stone walking path, and loam and seed. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. All Bids for this project are subject to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, Section 39M as amended. Bid documents are available from the Longmeadow Purchasing Department. Bid documents may also be downloaded online from the Purchasing Department page of the town website, www.longmeadow.org . Select the link labeled ‘Bids & RFPs’, then select ‘Bid & RFP Finder’ link to access bid documents. Bidders that access bid documents online are encouraged to register with the Purchasing Department to receive updates. Others will be required to monitor bid postings prior to the bid deadline for additional information and issued addenda. Failure to acknowledge Addenda may result in a bid rejection. A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) shall be included with the bid submission shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A 100% Performance and Payment Bond will be required upon contract award. The time period for holding Bids is 30 days, Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded, after opening of Bids. Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Workforce Development under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H, as amended, apply to this project. It is the responsibility of the Contractor, before Bid opening, to request if necessary, any additional information on Minimum Wage Rates for those trades people who may be employed for the proposed Work under this Contract. Federal Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the United States Department of Labor under the Davis-Bacon Act also apply to this project.The Town of Longmeadow, acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority, reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive minor informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town. |
