INVITATION FOR BID (IFB)
POOL PAINTING AND MISCELLANEOUS REPAIR
The Town of Longmeadow is accepting sealed bids for The Longmeadow Public Schools Pool Painting and Miscellaneous Repair. Sealed bids shall be delivered in an envelope labeled “IFB- Pool Painting and Misc Repair", and should be delivered to the Town of Longmeadow, Purchasing Department, Attn: Chad Thompson, Procurement Manager, 735 Longmeadow Street, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA 01106 (P 413-565- 4185, cthompson@longmeadow.org ).
Sealed bids will be accepted until the bid deadline of 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 per Addendum No.1 (Previously Friday June 22, 2018). Late bids will be rejected. A public bid opening will immediately follow in the auditorium of the same building. IFB documents are available from the Purchasing Department during standard office hours: Monday through Thursday 8:00 A.M.-4:30 P.M. and 8:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. on Fridays. Bid documents may also be downloaded online through the Purchasing Department page of the town website: www.longmeadow.org Select the link ‘Bids & RFPs’ ,then link: ‘Bid & RFP Finder’ to access documents online. Bidders that download documents online are encouraged to register with the Purchasing Department to receive updates. Others will be responsible to monitor the website prior to the bid deadline for additional information and issued addenda. Failure to acknowledge addenda may result in a bid rejection.
A MANDATORY pre-bid conference for General Contract work and site review will begin at the Longmeadow Public Schools Central Office, 535 Bliss Road, Longmeadow, MA . Gather in the conference room at 10:30am on Thursday, June 14, 2018. Gather on time and register during the mandatory pre-bid conference. Bids received from those that have not had a representative register during the mandatory pre-bid conference will be rejected. General Bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in an amount which is not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. Bid deposits shall be made payable to the ‘Town of Longmeadow’ in the form of a bid bond or a certified check, treasurer's check or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. All bidders shall comply with minimum wage rates as set forth under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H inclusive and agree to provide statements of compliance as required. A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful contractor.
The Town of Longmeadow acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, and award in the best interest of the Town. After proposals are opened, no bidder may withdraw the proposal for a period of thirty (30) days. |
