INVITATION FOR WRITTEN RESPONSE (IFWR)
GREENWOOD CENTER DOOR REPLACEMENT
The Town of Longmeadow is accepting written responses for the Greenwood Center Door Replacement. Drawings and specifications prepared by Hill-Engineers, Architects, Planners, Inc., Dalton, MA. Deliver written responses labeled “IFWR- Greenwood Center Door Replacement " to the Town of Longmeadow, Purchasing Department, Attn: Chad Thompson, Procurement Manager, 735 Longmeadow Street, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA 01106 (P 413-565-4185, ). Written responses may be emailed to the Longmeadow Purchasing Department at cthompson@longmeadow.org . Bid responses will be accepted until the deadline of Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 2:00PM. Late responses will be rejected. There will not be a public bid opening as it is not required based on the project estimated.
Bid documents are available from the Longmeadow Purchasing Department. Bid documents may also be downloaded online through the Purchasing Department page of the town website: www.longmeadow.org . Select the link ‘Bids & RFPs’ ,then link: ‘Bid & RFP Finder’ to access documents online. Bidders that download documents online are encouraged to register with the Purchasing Department to receive updates. Others will be responsible to monitor the website prior to the bid deadline for additional information and issued addenda. Failure to acknowledge addenda may result in a bid rejection.
An optional pre-bid conference for General Contract work and site review will begin at the front door of Greenwood Center, 231 Maple Road, Longmeadow, MA 01106, beginning at 10:00AM on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.
No bid deposit is required with a bid response submission. All bidders shall comply with minimum wage rates as set forth under the provisions of M.G.L., Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27H inclusive and agree to provide statements of compliance as required. A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful contractor for any contract greater than $25,000.
The Town of Longmeadow acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, and award in the best interest of the Town. After proposals are opened, no bidder may withdraw the proposal for a period of thirty (30) days. |
