REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS (RFQ)

SUBCONTRACTOR PREQUALIFICATION

NEW ADULT COMMUNITY CENTER

TOWN OF LONGMEADOW, MASSACHUSETTS



In accordance with the requirements of M.G.L. c. 149, § 44D1/2 the Town is soliciting General Contractor Prequalification and Subcontractor Prequalification for the construction of a new adult community center at 231 Maple Road, Longmeadow, MA, Firms interested in providing services for either RFQ for the construction of this project must submit a Statement of Qualifications in response to the RFQ(s) of interest. The Contractor selection for this Project is a two phase process as set forth in Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, § 44D1/2. The project scope is construction of a new building, utility infrastructure, access roadways and site improvements and demolition of an existing storage building. Construction is anticipated to start April 29, 2019 and completion July 31, 2020.Trade contractor categories for which subcontractor prequalification is required includes masonry, miscellaneous and ornamental iron, waterproofing, damp-proofing and caulking, roofing and flashing, metal windows, glass and gazing, tile, acoustical tile, resilient floors, painting, fire protection, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air, electrical, and elevator. Anticipated RFP to prequalified subcontractor bidders is March 18, 2019. Anticipated RFP to prequalified General Contractors is April 15, 2019. Qualifications must be delivered in a sealed envelope and marked in accordance with the RFQ instructions. Late RFQ submissions will be rejected.The Town of Longmeadow reserves the right to reject any or all qualifications and to accept any proposal that it considers to be in the best interest of the Town. The architect for the project is Catlin+ Petrovick Architects, PC. The Owners Project Manager is Colliers International.
