INVITATION FOR BID (IFB)
UNDERGROUND FUEL STORAGE TANK REMOVAL
The Town of Longmeadow, MA, is soliciting written response quotes through a sealed bid process for the Underground Fuel Storage Tank Removal project. Bid documents are available from the Town of Longmeadow, Purchasing Department, Attn: Chad Thompson- Procurement Manager, 735 Longmeadow Street, Suite 101, Longmeadow, MA 01106, P: 413-565-4185, cthompson@longmeadow.org . Purchasing Department office hours are between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Fridays. Bid documents can also be accessed online through the Purchasing Department page of the town website www.longmeadow.org by selecting ‘Bid & RFP’ links. Bidders are encouraged to register with the Purchasing Department, those that do not register will be responsible for monitoring the bid listing service for updates and posted addenda. Failure to acknowledge the receipt of addenda may result in a bid rejection.
An Optional Pre-Bid Conference will be held beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the Longmeadow DPW, 31 Pondside Road, Longmeadow, MA 01106.
Sealed bids should be delivered to the Longmeadow Purchasing Department and will be accepted until the bid deadline of Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Sealed bids should be labeled ‘IFB: Underground Fuel Storage Tank Removal’ on the outer envelope along with the bidder’s company name, address and contact information. Late bids will be rejected. Immediately following the bid deadline, bids will be publicly opened in the auditorium. No bid deposit is required with the submission of bids as the project estimate is $40,000. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. C.149, Section 26 to 27H, inclusive. A 50% Payment Bond will be required of the successful bidder upon contract award. No bid may be withdrawn within thirty (30) days after the date of the opening of bids.
All bids received will be evaluated and awarded in accordance with the provisions established under Massachusetts General Law Chapter 30,39M, inclusive or as amended. The Town of Longmeadow, acting through the Town Manager, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town. |
