Description: |
Due to Hurricane Michael, the Jackson County Board of Commissioners is seeking bids to remove and/or replace a variety of fencing types at several locations throughout the County. The fences at these locations provide a variety of uses such as security, safety, aesthetics, and boundary markers. The locations include County maintained properties such as parks, buildings, water wells, lift stations, and boat ramps. The scope of work at these areas includes, but is not limited to, the deconstruction and removal of existing fencing (to include existing/damaged chain link, wood, and vinyl fencing, poles, posts, barb wire, gates, railings, concrete, excavation, and the removal of other fencing materials) and the installation of new fencing (to include chain link, wood and vinyl fencing, posts, poles, barb wire, concrete, gates, railings, and other fencing materials). Further specifications and work details by location are outlined in the Scope of Work.
The project may be reimbursed by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as part of Disaster Recovery from Hurricane Michael FEMA Project No. DR- 4399. It is imperative that Respondents examine and become familiar with the Public Assistance Program established by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Funding for the project may be made possible through this grant and is contingent on strict conformance to the guidelines set forth by Florida Department of Emergency Management (FDEM) and FEMA. Respondents will comply with the Federal Regulations Contract Requirements shown at Exhibit 4. A third-party consultant may be utilized to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection Services to ensure compliance with Federal Requirements.
